How My Archival Digital Images (Giclee) are made

"Giclee" is from the French "giclee" which means to squirt or spurt. To create my giclee images I take a photograph with my 35mm camera and scan the print into my computer. I manipulate that image to produce an altered version of my original photograph. I use an ink jet printer which squirts an archival "dye" onto archival rag paper which stains and soaks into the paper. The images are printed in editions of 50 identical giclee images.
